ABOUT DR. ECKLER
ISTE 20 to Watch in 2023 Award Winner

Dr. Michelle Eckler is an experienced educational leader who serves as the Supervisor of Technology for Teaching and Learning for the Waterbury Public Schools in Waterbury, Connecticut. In this role, Dr. Eckler helps teachers transition to a new model of instruction that encompasses a blended model of traditional and digital learning in a post-pandemic world. Dr. Eckler also teaches part-time at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT where her focus is on curriculum.

Before moving into the world of educational technology, Dr. Eckler was a high school English teacher as well as an English Department Supervisor. Dr. Eckler is an ISTE Certified Educator, Google Certified Trainer, Google for Education Innovator #VIA24, ISTE Community Leader, and a NCEE/NISL Graduate. Dr. Eckler earned her Ed.D. in Curriculum, Teaching, Learning, and Leadership from Northeastern University.

Outside of work, Dr. Eckler is married to her wonderful and supportive husband of 14 years, has two amazingly special children, and is a fierce advocate for those on the Autism spectrum. In her free time, Dr. Eckler enjoys crafting, reading, learning, and spending time with her family.
